Bathurst Rifle Club Inc., 5^th November 2022, W Cutler Cup 600 yards.

          The final round of the W Cutler Cup was held on Saturday from 600 yards with warm sunshine and a variable but light south westerly breeze. A good roll up of shooters including a visitor from Lyndhurst Club enjoyed the warm weather during the afternoon.

          Steve Williams set the pace in Target Rifle Class with a great possible scored for his first stage and the loss of just one point during his second stage to finish two points ahead of Graeme Bright for the afternoon. Gordon Shepherd followed two further points away with Dennis Lavelle struggling to score in the bull eye and finishing a further seven points down. James Clarke was off his normal game losing two points during his first stage and more later in the afternoon as conditions got a little harder at times.

          The F Class shooters were set a task early after Mal Wright scored a possible for his first stage and almost backed up with another later but for one lost point to a wide shot. Visiting shooter Michael Cuda finished next claiming second place on a countback over Geoff Willis with Col Howell one point away after a great second stage score. Nick Webster and Graham Willis traded scores for the day as they competed for next spot with Nick claiming a two super centre advantage. Auskir Berryman clawed lost points back in his second stage to stay ahead of Phil Mahon who struggled at keeping his shots in the middle during both stages. Jake Webster returned after a long break and will likely improve after regular practise with his coach.

          The winner of the W Cutler Cup is Graham Willis (198) with runner up Gordon Shepherd (197). Next event is the K Redding Trophy from 700 yards on the 19^th November.
