Bathurst Rifle Club Inc., 19th November 2022, K Redding Trophy 700 yards.

Saturday provided some of the most challenging conditions for the K Redding Trophy from 700 yards with a very strong westerly wind that continually changed throughout the afternoon providing few opportunities to achieve a good score.

With several shooters away at the ACT Championships the remaining field of Target Rifle shooters were led by Gordon Shepherd who topped the days scores by six points to Dennis Lavelle and then John Coghill a few points further away. Shooting in Sporter Class, James Clarke found it difficult to keep the group centred in the conditions but somehow managed to score a possible in a late practise shoot on the day.

F Class was again dominated by Nick Webster who is difficult to catch when he brings his main game to the range with Graham Willis next just a couple of points away. Dave Butler finished just one more point down and is continuing to improve as he gains experience. Jeff Eppleston and Col Howell separated by just one point ahead of Mal Wright and Jake Webster.

The winner of the K Redding Trophy is Dave Butler (100) with runner up Nick Webster (97.75). Next event is the first stage of the Captains Trophy from 800 yards on the 10th December.
