Bathurst Rifle Club Inc., 24th September 2022, W Cutler Cup 300 yards.

Saturday saw the first round of the W Cutler Cup from 300 yards in mostly strong and variable south westerly winds, several visiting shooters came along to try their luck on the small 300 yard target with just one club member able to score to their handicap.

Three Target Rifle shooters battled the conditions all losing six points each for the day with Steve Williams scoring eight centre bulls to stay in front of Graeme Bright and Gordon Shepherd who scored six centre bulls each.

F Class shooter Graham Willis managed to shoot through his first stage without dropping a point and with a loss of only two points during his second stage easily lead the class with new member Darren Johnson going very well to finish four points away. Geoff Willis finished a further two points behind to be just one point ahead of visiting shooter Garry Cafe followed by Dave Butler and then Mal Wright. Several competed in Sporter Class with regular shooter James Clarke leading new shooters Chris Pollock and Galy Tse who experienced long range shooting for the first time.

Next event is the annual NSWRA medal shoot weekend planned for the 22nd and 23rd October with a practise shoot on the Saturday followed by a morning start on the Sunday shooting at 500, 600, 700 and 900 yards during the day with a break for lunch.
